The purpose of CATS, according to our bylaws:

The object of CATS shall be the promotion of collection development and technical services in libraries throughout the State of Washington, and to promote and expedite the interests of its membership. To that end, our goals include:

• To facilitate networking opportunities with other individuals in our fields;
• To promote professional growth through continuing education opportunities;
• To help members keep current on developments and trends.
